Dr. Valerie Benton Smith is a multifaceted professional whose impressive career spans various fields, including automotive sales, media, education, and community service. She is the author of Greatest Gift Ever: Persuasion and the celebrity host of The Dr. Valerie Benton Smith Show on iHeart Radio (the largest radio broadcaster in the United States), SoundCloud, and YouTube, where she is known as the Queen of American Lifestyle.

Her extensive background includes roles as a Life Coach, Author, Crisis Unit volunteer at Monarch Behavior Health, Community Coordinator for the YMCA, and Field Director for Girl Scouts. She has also taught and managed in Zimbabwe and served as a Teacher/Counselor in Westchester County, NY. Her career in advertising, promotions, and retail sales is complemented by her previous role at Dudley Products, Inc., where she was named “Educational Consultant of the Year” for her exceptional student recruitment.
Valerie's contributions extend into numerous professional associations. She has served as Regional President of the Greater NC Black Chamber of Commerce, held leadership positions in Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc., and been active in the National Pan Hellenic Council of Winston Salem/Forsyth County. Additionally, she has contributed to the Winston Salem Chamber of Commerce and the Triad Minority & Women's Business Expo. She is a co-founder and COO/lobbyist of the Greater Greensboro Black Chamber of Commerce and a member of the National Association of Pharmaceutical Sales Representatives.
Her achievements have been recognized with numerous accolades, including a 'Proclamation' from Guilford County for Leadership, induction into the National Women of Achievement, and the title of 'Enterprising Woman of the Year' for Greensboro, NC, as featured on Spectrum News and Empire 45 Magazine.
Valerie holds degrees from Carver High School, North Carolina Agricultural & Technical State University, New York University, General Motors Service Technical College, and Colorado Technical University.
She is happily married to Michael B. Smith, with whom she shares three adult children—Xavier, Asante’, and Elisha—four grandchildren—Nigel, Alexa, Nyla, King—a godson, Tremainne, Mediterranean gecko, Concord and a beloved furry son, D.J.
